I am a Stanton Nuclear Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment of International Peace, and I am currently conducting a series of experimental wargames testing nuclear decision-making. I completed my PhD in Security Studies and International Relations at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where my dissertation focused on how military doctrine affects overconfidence before war. In the past, I was a predoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins SAIS, a summer research fellow at the Naval War College, an affiliated researcher at the Special Competitive Studies Project, a summer fellow at GovAI, and a defense analyst at the RAND Corporation. My work has appeared in International Studies Quarterly, Simulation & Gaming, PS: Political Science & Politics, and The Journal of Experimental Political Science.
